Véronique Piaser – Moyen

My time is divided between Toulouse and Sri Lanka.

Photography was in fact my first source of inspiration to create pictures but I quickly realized that I wanted to paint as I started out on my artistic journey by painting using colours from black and white prints.

I also understood that I was only interested in watercolour painting.

It is such a dangerous and fascinating medium because of the surprise created - one is either startled or completely captivated.

I don't really paint; I like to think that I’m a story teller and that every watercolour is an undertaking using water and pigments on paper.

It's a magical journey using water and colours.

You can think of it as technique and mastery but it's also an adventure into the unknown with unexpected surprises... at the end of the paintbrush : that's watercolours for you!
