Plastic artist with an unusual background, Richard FUINEL, is the creator and composer of boxes and three-dimensional paintings in which the objects he places tell us truths about our world.
Mise en abyme (ndt story-within-a-story), or alignment of mirrors, the setting of the different materials used evokes the critical and ironic glance on our society but always friendly and above all full of humor and poetry.
The object, the artistic work and the title are echoeing eachother, and so is the creator. Beyond the humor one may perceive something deeper. A philosopher who, beyond the playful aspect of its inventions and thanks to them, invites us to deeply think about the nature of society and the human behaviours and relationships.
The title of each painting is connected to a basic assumption: indication or clue on which thesis and antithesis are declined, fun exercise dedicated to the spectator with always in backdrop, the amused glance of a conceiver-creator which draws his inspiration from the everyday life, in a universe which contains it and exceeds it, and that He surpasses then by thought.
